Jurgen Klopp reportedly keeping a very close eye on Christian Pulisic; future move possible

Liverpool have been linked with a young Borussia Dortmund player.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told his scouts to keep a very close eye on Borussia Dortmund teenager Christian Pulisic.

Klopp will be well aware of the 17-year-old’s talents having previously been in charge of the Bundesliga club and while it is being claimed he will not make a bid in the short term, the Liverpool boss is allegedly considering a move for the young American in the future.

Pulisic is predominantly an attacking midfielder although he can also operate on either wing or as a central midfielder if required, and while his versatility will always come in useful, expect him to make one position his own as he gets more games for Dortmund.

This season he has featured 10 times for the senior side, scoring one goal to date, and Klopp will know that patience could be key in this particular endeavour.

Even if Dortmund were willing to sell, which they probably are not, it makes far more sense to watch him from afar and see how he develops playing regular senior football than bringing him to Anfield where he will be an under-21 player at best.

Many Liverpool fans expected Klopp to ultimately raid his old side and the likes of Mats Hummels and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would be superb additions, but it could be an America teenager who ultimately makes the switch.
