The Danish defender looks a great talent.
Celtic fans are still reeling from going out to Old Firm rivals Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final. They lost the game on penalties against their Glasgow challengers and the bragging rights in the city are currently with the blue half.
So what positives could Celtic take from the game, now the dust has settled?
One silver lining that could be seen is the performance of Danish defender Erik Sviatchenko.
The winter signing from FC Midtjylland has been settling into his new club in the past few months and against Rangers he looked every bit the player the club needs.
He is deceptively quick and reads the game very well for a 24-year-old stopper.
Not only was his defending on point, he looked like a fantastic threat in the opposing box.
He scored for the Bhoys in the fixture and could have had others. He adds a threat in the opposing box, just as Virgil van Dijk once did in a Celtic shirt.
Hopefully the Dane can go on to be as impressive as the Dutchman was for the club.
