Report: Club president warns Liverpool they will need to make huge offer to snare wonderkid

A busy summer of transfer activity is expected at Liverpool, as Jürgen Klopp looks to transform his side into title contenders.

The Daily Express are reporting that Atlético Nacional president Juan Carlos De La Cuesta has told Liverpool that it will take a huge offer to capture their Columbian teenage star Marlos Moreno.

De La Cuesta said: "So far there is no a transfer, but there is interest. It would be an extraordinary offer to consider selling it, but we know how the market dynamics. If there is a good offer, we will have to consider."

The newspaper also went on to say that there are other interested parties in the race for Moreno's signature, including Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain.

Moreno has scored five goals in 19 appearances for his club and would be a smart acquisition for the Reds

He has tremendous ability and is incredibly quick off the mark - an attribute that would suit Jürgen Klopp's high intensity style of play.

He is also very highly thought of in his native Colombia, having already picked up two international caps for his country at the age of just 19.

Liverpool play host to Everton tonight in the highly anticipated Merseyside derby, as they look to improve on their three-game winning streak. A win could see them leap-frog Southampton and West Ham United in the table and take them into sixth position with plenty of football still to be played.
