Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal has urged his international teammate Alexis Sánchez to join him in the Bundesliga.
The Chilean was speaking to reporters after his side's victory over Schalke at the weekend, as reported by The Daily Mail.
"We've played together since the Under-20 international team, so it would be nice to play with him," Vidal said.
Sánchez has performed erratically since his six-week injury layoff over the Christmas period, but manager Arsène Wenger would still be reluctant to lose one of his star men.
The Frenchman is trying to tie down the Chilean, along with Mesut Özil, to a new long term deal, although both players are rumoured to be seeking assurances of potential world-class arrivals at the Emirates, as reported by The Daily Express.
Arsenal's season has imploded since the turn of the year, with a dismal run in the Premier league compounded by exits from both the Champions League and the FA Cup.
Bayern Munich again look like winning the Bundesliga title, while they are set to face Atlético Madrid in the Champions League semi-final next week.
With the two clubs contrasting fortunes, it may be hard for Sanchez to turn down a move to the Bavarians, should any potential interest evolve into a formal approach.
There is sure to be a shake-up of the Bayern squad when current manager Pep Guardiola leaves, with The Sun reporting that Sánchez is a prime target for incoming manager Carlo Ancelotti.
For now, though, Sánchez's focus must be on helping his side secure Champions League football for next season.
