Tommy McIntyre says Celtic youngster Calvin Miller has been fantastic in training

The Celtic teenager is currently impressing at under-20 level.

Celtic under-20 coach Tommy McIntyre has been speaking to the club’s official website about 18-year-old striker Calvin Miller.

The teenager is yet to make his debut for the Bhoys’ first-team but he has impressed for the young Hoops both on the field and in training, and if he keeps going like this it will surely not be too long before Ronny Deila gives him his first senior appearance.

Miller’s latest goal came in an under-20 victory against Falkirk on Monday evening, the teenager converting from the spot to seal a 1-0 win.

“Calvin Miller, from the front, has been fantastic in training and he continues to do that in games,” McIntyre told

The Celtic coach also praised the attitude of two first-team stars that have been featuring for the second string recently, calling the attitude of both Stuart Armstrong and Ryan Christie “exceptional”.

Celtic suffered the huge disappointment of losing to Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final last weekend and they will be looking to get back to winning ways on Sunday when they take on Ross County in the Scottish Premiership.
