Aston Villa defender Leandro Bacuna has angered supporters by suggesting he would like to play Champions League football.
Bacuna angered Villa fans earlier in the season, when he suggested that he felt he could play in the Champions League.
The Dutch full-back has underachieved at Villa this season, and Collymore feels that his comments were totally misguided.
“Every Villa fan whether they loathe me or like me, is in agreement that Leandro Bacuna is deluded,” Collymore said. “He thinks he can play in the Champions League!
“You know, if he goes back to Holland, he may well get a gig with PSV or Ajax - that’s how messed up the game is.”
Collymore has slated individual members of Villa’s team regularly throughout the season, and his tirade seems to have stepped up a notch since the side’s relegation was confirmed.
Collymore’s passion for the club has been clear, and he has publicly criticised the likes of Gabriel Agbonlahor and Joleon Lescott recently.
Bacuna is the next to feel his wrath, and it seems that his views are echoed by the majority of Villa fans.
The 24-year-old now seems likely to leave Villa in the summer transfer window, as the club plans major changes.
The Midlands side realise that they will need to have a major overhaul if they are to bounce back immediately from their first ever Premier League relegation, with alterations already being made at boardroom level.
