Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show on TalkSPORT, which was broadcast on 19th April, that he believes that Leicester City will win the Premier League this season.
Leicester are currently five points clear of Tottenham Hotspur, as they head into the final four matches of the campaign.
The Foxes remain odds-on favourites to win the title, but the pressure is being ramped up on them by Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
Leicester’s failure to beat West Ham United at the weekend, gave Spurs the opportunity to close the gap at the top of the table last night and they took the chance with both hands.
Spurs demolished Stoke City 4-0, to remain within touching distance of Claudio Ranieri’s men.
Leicester now can feel Spurs breathing down their necks, but Allardyce is convinced that they will be able to hold on.
“The point could be valuable for Leicester,” Allardyce siad.
“It’s theirs to lose, but they seem to be holding their nerve. Their clean sheet record has been very good, and if they keep that going I can’t see Tottenham pipping them - even though they’re playing brilliantly at the minute.”
Leicester’s next match comes against Swansea City on Sunday, before Tottenham take on West Bromwich Albion at White Hart Lane on Monday evening.
