Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management, the wealth management arm of Bank of America, hired seven advisers from Morgan Stanley, according to a statement released on Monday.

Reuters reports that John Gatto, Kenneth Gatto and Matthew Hughes joined Merrill Lynch from Morgan Stanley. The Gatto Hughes Group had $675m in assets under management and generated $5.3m in revenue while at Morgan Stanley.

In the meantime, Bloomberg News reports that Societe Generale appointed Frank Drouet as head of global markets, with Daniel Fields leaving the bank.

Drouet, in charge of global markets for Asia-Pacific, will report to Didier Valet, head of global banking and investor solutions, and join the management committee, the lender said in a statement on Monday. Fields has decided to “pursue other opportunities outside the bank,” it said.
