Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher said on the Live Ford Monday Night Football show on Sky Sports 1 on Monday night (April 18) that Christian Eriksen was outstanding for Tottenham Hotspur against Stoke City.
Eriksen started the Premier League game for Tottenham against Stoke away from home at the Britannia Stadium on Monday night.
The 24-year-old Denmark international attacking midfielder played for the entire 90 minutes, as Spurs registered a comfortable 4-0 victory.
Carragher was impressed with the former Ajax star’s display and said on the Live Ford Monday Night Football show on Sky Sports 1 on Monday night (April 19) after the match: “Eriksen was very unfortunate not to get Man of the Match today. He was outstanding.”
Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner, now on loan at Championship side Nottingham Forest, and former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar were stunned with Eriksen’s pass for Dele Alli’s first goal of the match midway through the second half.

Against Stoke on Monday night, Eriksen took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 86%, created three chances, put in two crosses, attempted one dribble, won 50% of his tackles, and made one interception, one clearance and one block.
The attacking midfielder, who is arguably the most talented outfield player in the current Tottenham squad, has scored six goals and created 104 chances in 31 Premier League appearances so far this season.
