The Danish midfielder has had a disappointing spell at Leeds United to date.
It is fair to say Leeds United midfielder Casper Sloth has almost certainly played his last match for the senior side.
After all, the 24-year-old Dane has not played a single game for the Whites this season and has only made the bench on three occasions in all competitions.
But could Sloth have also played his last match in a Leeds shirt despite excelling for the under-21s this season?
The former Aarhus player did not feature for the Whites’ second string against Colchester United on Monday afternoon and with the under-21s having just one game left this season Sloth may have already been seen for the last time.
Given his age, he will not want to make do with under-21 football year after year, and with his current contract expiring in the summer of 2017 he will surely look for an early exit rather than continually being overlooked.
Sloth has played just 14 times for Leeds since arriving from his homeland and while the side have often been crying out for an attacking midfielder with his work ethic manager Steve Evans clearly does not rate him.
There could yet be a decent send-off for the player but in all likelihood he will exit quietly assuming a suitable offer comes in this summer.
