Everton supporters are outraged about Roberto Martinez’s latest comments about Oumar Niasse.
The forward joined Everton from Lokomotiv Moscow in January, but he is yet to make much of an impression at Goodison Park.
Niasse has made five appearances for the Toffees, but he is yet to open his goalscoring account for the club and he seems to have fallen completely out of favour.
Martinez told the Liverpool Echo yesterday that Niasse may not play for Everton again this season, and it has caused further frustration amongst supporters of the club.
@Steverin09 Martinez said he wouldn't let Naismith go until he had a replacement! Niasse cost £13.5m and we recouped £8m+ from Naismith— Neil Tyler (@NDT_6) April 18, 2016
After what Martinez has said, he will make a mockery of himself if Niasse doesn't get any minutes tonight.— Mitch (@efcmitch) April 18, 2016
Martinez is a genius and he's got a secret weapon. Picture the derby, 0-0 80 mins, Niasse comes on, beats the defence to score 3 in 10 mins— Chris Fitton (@chrisnotwilliam) April 18, 2016
Imagine Niasse bouncing excitedly, from foot to foot, as Martinez announces the team on a Friday. Then slopes off, crestfallen.— Dave Wiggins (@DWiggo) April 18, 2016

Loves to run
Never been injured
Reality wrist injury
Not match fit after 3 months #martinezout
I think that the Niasse signing might turn out to be the best thing thats happened to EFC in a long time. Will be the rope to hang Martinez.— kris jones (@KrisJones22) April 18, 2016
I'd sack Martinez for the Niasse West Ham sub on its own considering what's happened since & now he doesn't even play ressie games— Peter Mcpartland (@PED7) April 18, 2016
Niasse not available till next year would have rather kept Naismith than sign him if that's the case mad decision by RM again— Danny Tattan (@dtatt89) April 18, 2016
Niasse was expected to enhance Everton’s attacking quality when he was brought to the club, but he has taken a while to adapt to English football.
There are now doubts over his future on Merseyside, as the summer transfer window draws nearer. Niasse has not even been handed appearance for the club’s under-21 outing recently.
Everton’s next fixture comes against Liverpool on Wednesday evening, but it seems unlikely that Niasse will be involved.
