Don Hutchison makes an ominous prediction for Southampton fans on Twitter

Ronald Koeman

The pundit believes the Saints boss could move to Barcelona soon - and is surprised Arsenal haven't made a move yet.

Don Hutchison believes Southampton could be the victims of their own success with Ronald Koeman - much as they were with Mauricio Pochettino.

Indeed, the South Coast club did well under Pochettino and the Argentine was rewarded with a career move that now sees him challenging for the Premier League title.

But, under Koeman, Southampton have consistently maintained a high level. And former Premier League midfielder turned pundit Hutchison believes the Dutchman could be off to Barcelona very soon.

He is also surprised Arsenal haven't yet made a move for the Saints boss. He tweeted:

Southampton currently sit seventh in the top flight and look relatively safe when it comes to a top-eight finish - Stoke City have slipped up of late.

Liverpool have two games in hand over the Saints so should leapfrog them. But that doesn't take anything away from another terrific Southampton campaign, one that posed more challenges to Koeman yet saw him deal with them just as effectively.
