Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembélé claims that his side are thriving on the pressure of competing for the title following their 4-0 mauling of Stoke City last night, as reported by ESPN.
The Belgian international told reporters that his side are embracing the challenge.
"We just want it and we're not scared," he said. "The pressure is there. Everyone knows it will be very difficult but we play like this, so you can see the mentality is there. Everyone wants it and we just manage to keep playing our game."
Dembélé has featured 27 times for the Lilywhites in the Premier league this term, and he has been a vital component in their success. His composure on the ball is a great asset and he provides the Spurs defence with a great outlet when they are pinned back.
The North London club have four games remaining and trail Leicester City by five points as they look to mount one final push for the title.
The former Fulham midfielder spoke of how pleasing it is to win while playing such good football at what is a crucial time of the season.
"Everyone expected it would be very difficult and the circumstances are very special because we know we have to win these games and if you can win playing like this it's even better," he said. "We're very proud and we keep on moving on. Every week is the most important game of the season."
