Arsenal's poor season continued as they dropped more points at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
"I don't see them having any problems against West Brom at the Emirates," he said. "It will be a comfortable win for the Gunners - 3-0."
Arsenal have been desperately poor since the turn of the year, and have continued to throw away points, while Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur have gone from strength to strength and seem to have found a new gear.
The Gunners' frailties came back to haunt them again on Sunday, as they let a lead slip at home to Crystal Palace and ended up having to settle for a point, and Merson explained how he cannot believe that they have thrown away their chance this season.
"How have Arsenal not won the league?" he asked. "You look at their fixtures now and they have the perfect run-in, but inconsistency has again cost them."
Arsenal sit eight points behind fierce rivals Tottenham in the Premier league, and they trail league leaders Leicester by a further five. They do have a game in hand on the two however, and their fans will be hoping that they can finish their season off in style, to at least guarantee Champions League football for next season, if nothing else.
