Sunderland confirm summer exits for Mandron, Agnew, McEvoy and Smith

Four youngsters will not be at Sunderland next season

Sunderland have confirmed on their official website that four young players will not have their contracts renewed and will subsequently leave the Stadium of Light this summer.

Those players are Liam Agnew, Martin Smith, Mikael Mandron and Dylan McEvoy.

It will be a big blow to the four under-21 players who will have no doubt been hoping to forge successful senior careers at Sunderland, but they at least now have time to search out new teams before the summer.

Mandron may not have to wait too long before he finds a new club considering his ability in front of goal.

The 21-year-old has scored 22 goals in 61 under-21 appearances for Sunderland and were it not for injury he would have bettered that record.

Agnew is a 21-year-old central midfielder who has regularly captained Sunderland at that level this season, making his exit particularly surprising.

Midfielder Smith is currently on loan at Carlisle United while 18-year-old McEvoy is currently enjoying a temporary spell at Boston United.
