The Villans are currently looking for a new manager to lead them in the Championship.
The Villans are currently in the hunt for a man to lead them in the Championship next season, following their relegation from the Premier League on Saturday.
The consensus is that they need a manager who has experience in the division, with the current favourite being former Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson.
Taylor though, believes that his former club should look to Turf Moor and Sean Dyche as their next managerial appointment.
“I played with Sean Dyche at Northampton,” he told the Mirror.
“He’s a young British manager who knows how to get out of that league. He has a lot of qualities, believe me. Just don’t ever hit a pass short to him. He’s not the most forgiving in that situation.”
Dyche certainly fits the bill for Aston Villa given they are reportedly keen for their next appointment to be British.
He also has the experience in the Championship they are keen for their new manager to have, with him impressing with Burnley in that division for several years.
Whether he would be keen on leaving Burnley given they look set for a return to the Premier League seems unlikely, with his current club a much more stable one than that at Villa Park.
