Robbie Savage says the pace of Tottenham full-backs Kyle Walker and Danny Rose is amazing

Robbie Savage impressed with Tottenham duo.

Former Premier League midfielder Robbie Savage has told BBC Sport that he could not believe how fast Tottenham's full-backs Kyle Walker and Danny Rose are.

The duo posed Stoke City problems all night, with their threat on the counter making Stoke think twice about committing men forward.

Savage also mentioned how dangerous Dele Alli's movement was for Stoke, hailing the problems Mauricio Pochettino's side posed for their opponents.

The former Wales international said: "Stoke have got a huge problem when Spurs attack. Dele Alli is getting into some great positions. Danny Rose and Kyle Walker...their pace on the counter is amazing.

"Spurs have looked absolutely brilliant - dynamic and aggressive. They have pace and power. You would think there is no pressure whatsoever."

Walker and Rose both came into this season with question marks over their places in the Spurs side. Pochettino brought Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier into the club but neither player have been able to win the battle for the right-back and left-back spots, with their rivals rising to the challenge.

The competition for places has surely spurred them on, as will Pochettino's fitness work he imposes on the first team, which helps the duo keep up their sprint speed over the course of the 90 minutes.
