Accrington ace Josh Windass will join up with Rangers this summer.

Rangers beat Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final on Sunday afternoon, and just a day earlier, Ibrox-bound playmaker Josh Windass starred for Accrington.

Windass, 22, was on the books with Huddersfield Town and Harrogate Railway before signing for Accrington in 2013, where he has since become a star.

The son of former Premier League striker Dean Windass hit six goals in 40 games last season, and his impressive performances for the League Two side attracted great interest in his signature.

Eventually, Windass signed a pre-contract agreement with Rangers, meaning he will join up with the Ibrox side at the end of the season, where he will be hoping to kick on and become a star with Mark Warburton's side.

For now though, Windass is attempting to help Accrington win promotion, and he scored twice in their 2-2 draw with local rivals Morecambe on Saturday afternoon, taking his tally to 13 league goals for the season - prompting major excitement from Rangers fans ahead of his arrival at Ibrox this summer.

Rangers supporters took to Twitter over the weekend to suggest that Windass could become a real difference maker at Ibrox, having proved that he can score goals in League Two.

Gers fans clearly can't wait to see Windass in action, and believe he is already looking like a great piece of business - despite having not even made his debut yet!

Do you think Windass will be a star for Rangers?
