Jason Cundy highlights a weakness of Petr Cech on Twitter

The former Chelsea defender suggests that the Arsenal goalkeeper should have kept out Crystal Palace’s goal in the Premier League game between the two sides on Sunday.

Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur defender Jason Cundy has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech should have saved Yannick Bolasie’s goal on Sunday evening.

Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw with London rivals Palace at home in the Premier League.

The Gunners took the lead at the Emirates Stadium through Alexis Sanchez on the stroke of half time, but Bolasie struck in the 81st minute to rescue a point for the Eagles in North London.

The 26-year-old DR Congo winger’s strike squeezed past Cech at his near post, and Cundy has suggested that the former Chelsea goalkeeper should have done better.

The former Chelsea defender has suggested on Twitter that a weakness of Cech, who joined Arsenal from the Blues in the summer of 2015, is to concede at his near post.

Cech probably should have done better for Bolasie’s goal, but that should not detract from the fact that he is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.

The 33-year-old is a Chelsea legend, and during his time at Stamford Bridge, he established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

The Czech Republic international has been one of the best players for Arsenal this campaign.
