Ian Holloway predicts Reading v Hull, raves about Robert Snodgrasss

The pundit has been previewing the Royals' Championship clash with Steve Bruce's men.

Ian Holloway has predicted a 2-1 win for Hull City against Reading in the Championship this week, according to his regular predictions column for Sky Sports.

The pundit feels Hull will beat the Royals and has also heaped praise on 28-year-old midfielder Robert Snodgrass.

Snodgrass recently scored the winner against Wolves and he's got the former manager waxing lyrical about the 'wonderful' Hull man.

Holloway told Sky Sports: "I can see another win for Hull here. It was great to see Robert Snodgrass score the winner on Friday in the 2-1 win over Wolves. What a brilliant free-kick it was. He's had a tough time but he's got unfinished business at this level. He's a wonderful player."

It's Hull's recent form that has very much cost them an automatic promotion place. Three wins in 10 mean Bruce, Snodgrass and co will have to settle for a play-off place.

Still, it's a far better position to be in than Reading's. Under Steve Clarke, the Royals looked like promotion contenders themselves at one stage.

But things slipped under the Scot - and Brian McDermott will need to do a lot of work over the summer. Reading currently find themselves 15th and Hull may be confident of getting exactly the result Holloway has predicted...
