Villa’s relegation to the Championship was officially confirmed on Saturday following the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United away from home in the Premier League.
Marcus Rashford’s goal just past the half-hour mark proved to be the difference between the two teams at Old Trafford.
Killing them and think about the people behind the scenes honestly it's terrible for the town we need all the teams doing well #lovebrum— Troy Deeney (@T_Deeney) April 16, 2016
This is the first time that Villa have been relegated to the second tier of English football since 1987.
The Villans are one of the biggest clubs of England, but they will find it tough to bounce straight back into the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Watford have secured their place in the Premier League for the 2016-17 campaign.
The Hornets, who got promoted from the Championship at the end of last season, could even end up in the top 10 this term.
