Emmanuel Adebayor helped do former side Tottenham a favour as Crystal Palace drew at Arsenal.
Arsenal fans frustrated at Sunday's draw at home to Crystal Palace should at least have one positive to cling onto - Wilfried Zaha blew a late chance to put Emmanuel Adebayor through on goal to score the winner.
An injury time strike for former Gunner Adebayor would have sparked wild celebrations from the Togo striker, and outrage among the home fans at The Emirates.
As it was, Palace and Arsenal drew the game 1-1, with substitute Adebayor playing an important role in Yannick Bolasie's equaliser.*Tottenham fans react on Twitter as Emmanuel Adebayor helps puncture Arsenal challenge
Adebayor ran 30 yards or so with the ball, unchallenged by Gabriel Paulista who just stood off him, and he held the ball up and picked out Bolasie who fired into the net, a strike which goalkeeper Petr Cech should have done better with.
Arsenal's title challenge was already looking more like a pipe dream than a reality, and two more dropped points makes it even more unlikely.
They have missed an opportunity to really put Tottenham under pressure for their second place, and sit in fourth position.

He certainly impressed fans of his former club Tottenham, who took to Twitter to marvel at his contribution...

Only noise Arsenal fans made was when Adebayor was on the ball. Pathetic. He had the last laugh with that superb run for Yala's goal. #CPFC— Nicholas Georghiou (@nlg070301) April 17, 2016
