The midfielder has been one of the stars of the show for Leicester City this season.
The French midfielder has been in sensational form for the Foxes this season, proving to be one of the signings of the season.
His tireless running in midfield has been key to Leicester's surprise Premier League title challenge, providing the basis for the likes of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez to flourish up front.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with him recently being named on the PFA Player of the Year shortlist alongside Vardy, Mahrez, Mesut Ozil, Dimitri Payet and Harry Kane.
And as far as Collymore is concerned, Kante should win it as without him there would be no title challenge.
Kante for player of the year. Nobody in the league knits back to front like him. No Kante, no title, good as the others are.@talkSPORT— Stan Collymore (@StanCollymore) April 17, 2016
Claudio Ranieri’s side will now be hoping they can keep Kante beyond the end of this season.
Aside from the PFA recognising his performances, he is also likely to have caught they eye of a number of European clubs, with comparisons to Claude Makelele having already been made.
Indeed, according to the Daily Mail he could be allowed to leave the King Power Stadium for as little as £20million, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain all reportedly interested.
