The youngster put in a very impressive display in the win over the Cherries.

Liverpool defender Kevin Stewart was in fine form as his side beat Bournemouth at Dean Court this weekend.

The Reds ran out 2-1 winners on the south coast as goals from Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge saw them to victory.

The result was an important one for Jurgen Klopp’s side as it continued their recent good run of form and saw them move to within a point of the top six in the Premier League.

The German opted to name a much-changed side, making 10 changes in total, as he rotated his squad to try to keep things fresh.

One of those who came in was full-back Stewart, who staked a claim for a regular place in the team in future.

As the table provided by Opta shows, he was heavily involved throughout the game.

In total he managed 90 touches, the most of any Liverpool player, with none of those proving unsuccessful.

The defensive side of his game was particularly strong, as he won two tackles, four interceptions and seven defensive duels.

That continued when it came to winning the ball back as he did so in the defensive third three times and recorded six ball recoveries.

His passing was also on form as he enjoyed 56 accurate passes and enjoyed an overall pass success of 85% in a very impressive display.
