Tottenham are reportedly looking to sign Rennes winger Paul Georges-Ntep.
Tottenham will be returning to the Champions League next year, and that - coupled with the new Premier League TV deal - should see manager Mauricio Pochettino have plenty of money to spend this summer.
One area the Argentine could look to strengthen is out wide, as whilst Erik Lamela has enjoyed a good season, Spurs don't really have a direct, pacey wide man who will hug the touchline and stretch defences in behind.
However, Pochettino could be addressing that, as The Sun report that Spurs are keen to land Rennes winger Paul-Georges Ntep this summer.
Ntep, 23, was one of Europe's most coveted youngsters during his time at Auxerre, but surprised many by staying in Frane and signing for Rennes in January 2014.
After nine goals and five assists last season, Ntep has suffered a number of injury blows, limiting him to just 11 league starts, notching two goals and three assists as Rennes team-mates and fellow winger Ousmane Dembele - a player Tottenham also want, according to France Football - has stolen much of his limelight this term.
Ntep hasn't played since February, but it's believed that Tottenham scouts had been watching him earlier this season, and providing that he doesn't suffer a blow in his recovery, Spurs could move for him this summer, with an asking price of £8m allegedly on his head; a bargain if he can stay fit and perform as he did last season.
With great pace and power down the flanks, French international Ntep would certainly add something different to this Tottenham side - but those injury problems may be a worry for Pochettino, whilst Crystal Palace are also believed to be keen.
Do you think Spurs should spend £8m on Ntep?
