However, to do it again next season, manager Eddie Howe will need summer additions to his squad - and reports suggest that he already has two top targets in mind.
The Daily Mail report that Leeds teenager Lewis Cook is one such target, having again enjoyed an outstanding second season in the first team at Elland Road.
The England Under-19 international has earned plaudits for his high-energy, all-action displays in midfield, and he looks to be set for stardom in the Premier League one day - and Bournemouth boss Howe went to watch Cook in action against Birmingham City last week ahead of a summer bid, with Leeds valuing him at £12m according to the report.
As well as 19-year-old Cook, it's believed that Bournemouth are also keen on Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew, who has been one of the few players to impress in a miserable season for Villa.
The 24-year-old, signed from Lorient last summer, hit six goals for Villa, and looked to be a player who could make an immediate return to the Premier League, with Villa's relegation confirmed on Saturday.
Howe does have the likes of Callum Wilson, Josh King, Benik Afobe, Lewis Grabban and Glenn Murray at his disposal, but a move for Ayew could be on the cards if reports are to be believed.
Do you think Cook and Ayew would be good signings for Bournemouth?
