The midfield battle was won by the Rangers star against Celtic.
Rangers have beaten Celtic in the Old Firm derby to qualify for the Scottish Cup final. Goals from Kenny Miller and Barry McKay were both cancelled out by Celtic but Rangers went on to win the game on penalties.
There was an abundance of top performances in the Rangers team today. McKay was superb on the wing whilst Rob Kiernan was solid at the back. Wes Foderingham put in a vitally important penalty shoot-out performance, saving a spot-kick from Rangers villain Scott Brown certainly a highlight among the Rangers faithful.
Brown struggled to get any grip on the game, much to the joy of Rangers fans. The reason why was clear in their mind, Andy Halliday.
The boyhood Rangers fan dominated the midfield in this fixture as Rangers proved the gap between the top Scottish Premiership side is not far from the top of the Scottish Championship.
Halliday’s performance certainly caused a stir among the Rangers fans on Twitter, with many making their feelings very clear about the performance of Halliday – especially up against Brown.
