Former Tottenham midfielder and current pundit Jamie Redknapp has told Sky Sports that he thinks Spurs will beat Stoke City on Monday night.
Tottenham head into the game having thrashed Manchester United 3-0 last weekend, and have been given renewed hope of winning the Premier League title after Leicester only drew 2-2 with West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
The gap between Spurs and league leaders Leicester now stands at eight points, but Mauricio Pochettino's men can bring that down to five points by beating Stoke on Monday.
It won't be an easy contest against Mark Hughes' men, who showed their resilience against Spurs earlier this season by coming from 2-0 down at White Hart Lane to earn a 2-2 draw.
The Potters will be without injured goalkeeper Jack Butland, which is a huge boost for Spurs, whilst Stoke have won just one of their last five games, losing 4-1 away at Liverpool last weekend.
Ahead of the game, former Spurs midfielder and current pundit Jamie Redknapp has offered his views on the game to Sky Sports, predicting that Tottenham will win the game, but it won't come easily against a Stoke side who are improving year-on-year.
Redknapp highlighted Dele Alli and Harry Kane as two players who could have big impacts on the game, and suggested that Tottenham must win this game if they are to have any chance of catching Leicester at the top of the Premier League table.
"I do [expect them to win] - it won't be easy though," said Redknapp. "Stoke have got good players and are getting better and better every year. I think it will be a tight game, but Tottenham to edge this one. I think they've got form players in Dele Alli and Harry Kane, they're defensively strong and hopefully there will be some goals as well. I have still got a feeling that they're still in the title race, but this is the sort of game they've got to win," he added.
