Exciting 15-year-old striker Reo Griffiths makes debut for Tottenham under-18s

Reo Griffiths could be a player to watch at Tottenham in years to come.

Tottenham's youngsters have helped inspire the team's challenge for the Premier League title, and their production line shows no sign of slowing down.

Josh Onomah and Marcus Edwards both scored goals for England's youth teams during the international break, and there are plenty more patiently waiting for opportunities.

One player a little further back but potentially very exciting, is teenage striker Reo Griffiths.

Griffiths, just 15, made his debut for Tottenham's under-18 team against Aston Villa at the weekend, the first of many appearances he is likely to make at that level.

Spurs lost the game 1-0 through an own goal from Christian Maghoma, but Griffiths' debut was among the highlights.

He was one of four players picked out by coach Kieran McKenna, speaking to the club's official website, who he believes will play major roles next season, also mentioning Nya Kirby, Tashan Oakley-Boothe and Jon Dinzeyi.

McKenna said: "It was a valuable experience for them and I thought they all showed why they’re going to be in the building next year. They all showed the potential that they’ve got and they all showed areas that they need to work on, but you’d expect that at their age. If they apply themselves well, the four boys who started have all got a good chance of progressing well.”

Griffiths was recently called into England's under-16 side, and has been impressing for the academy. He netted in Tottenham's 4-0 win over Liverpool in the Lion City Cup in Singapore last summer, and turns 16 in late June.
