Ibrox side Rangers will face Old Firm rivals Celtic in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup this weekend.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton has told Sky Sports that Celtic are favourites to win the Scottish Cup tie between the two sides this weekend.

The Gers will take on Old Firm rivals Celtic in the semi-finals of the prestigious cup competition at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Sunday afternoon.

Warburton has admitted that the Bhoys will head into the match as favourites, but he has made it clear that his Rangers players are not scared to play against the Scottish Premiership outfit.

"Celtic are the clear favourites,” the Englishman told Sky Sports. “They’re top of the Premiership so of course they are. We've just won the Scottish Championship and we respect that. We're not foolish in that respect.

"But we're a very good team and we've played well all season. We're looking forward to it. We don't fear anyone. We've demonstrated a level of consistency all season.”

Celtic will indeed head into the match as favourites, but the Hoops cannot be complacent.

Rangers have some very good players and are in great form at the moment, and the Gers can certainly win the encounter.

Although the Hoops have better players and are a better team, in a derby anything is possible.

If Rangers do not concede in the opening 15 to 20 minutes, then their confidence will increase, and that could prove to be crucial.
