Indeed, the R's and the Bluebirds shared the spoils at Loftus Road and the 22-year-old goalkeeper impressed supporters in the capital.
QPR are 12th after their 0-0 draw and Cardiff remain five points off the play-off places.
Long term, though, Ingram's display gave QPR fans plenty of hope going into next season. Indeed, the R's now look to have two solid young shot stoppers in Ingram and Alex Smithies.
Rob Green has been a loyal servant over the years but looks as though he'll be leaving west London this summer. More importantly, however, his form had been questionable anyway and QPR look in healthy hands with Ingram and Smithies.
