Things are now looking very interesting for Newcastle, Sunderland and Norwich.
Indeed, Newcastle United's 3-0 win over Swansea City seemed like something that comes once every blue moon. And yet it was the second 3-0 win of its kind that day.
Yes, Sunderland also won by the same scoreline against Norwich City earlier on Saturday, blowing the relegation battle wide open.

It's too tough to call who will go down now. Even Crystal Palace aren't totally safe but should be if they win their game in hand.
Of the most likely trio, Norwich are in the strongest league position but have played a game more than both Newcastle and Sunderland.
If Sam Allardyce's men win their game in hand, they will be in a position of safety, while Newcastle can also leapfrog the Canaries on goal difference.
Who'll go down: Sunderland, Alex Neil's men or Rafael Benitez's charges?
