Everton’s disappointing run of results in the Premier League continued, as they played out a 1-1 draw with the Saints.
Ramiro Funes Mori put the home team in the lead midway through the second half, only for Sadio Mane to restore parity for the visiting side just minutes later.
Former Everton defender Ball was following the match, and he was disappointed with the final result.
The former Rangers and Manchester City left-back, though, did pick out a positive from the match - the debuts of teenagers Callum Connolly and Tom Davies.

Roberto Martinez’s side will take on Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
The Merseyside outfit will then face Manchester United at London’s Wembley Stadium in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Winning the Merseyside derby against Liverpool is a matter of pride, while defeating United will mean that the fans will be able to keep on dreaming about an FA Cup triumph this campaign.
