Fabio Borini and Lamine Kone react emphatically on Twitter to Sunderland win

The Black Cats produced a resounding response to their 2-0 defeat to Leicester, beating Norwich 3-0 on Saturday.

Sunderland's players were over the moon after an emphatic 3-0 win at Norwich City on Saturday afternoon. And why wouldn't they be?

The Black Cats have taken a massive step towards Premier League survival thanks to their three-goal win.

What the result means is that Sunderland can leapfrog Norwich in the table if they win their game in hand. That would take Sam Allardyce's men to safety and put their fate firmly within their own hands.

Fabio Borini was delighted on Twitter, posting two three-word hashtags, alongside two celebratory images.

Meanwhile, January signing Lamine Kone also celebrated on social media, praising the fans and looking ahead to five 'more finals' for Sunderland:

Next up for Sunderland, however, is a home clash against Arsenal. The Gunners are beatable - but they are still far from the easiest of tests for Allardyce's men.

Norwich also have Arsenal to come this season, as well as Manchester United. Will either of the two teams stay up or could Newcastle United even sneak in and pip both the Canaries and Sunderland?
