Confirmed Man Utd v Aston Villa lineups: Fosu-Mensah benched, Sinclair starts

Old Trafford Interior

Manchester United host Aston Villa in the Premier League this afternoon - here is how the teams line up.

Manchester United will be looking to build on the 2-1 midweek win over West Ham United when they take on Aston Villa.

That FA Cup win on Wednesday means the Red Devils have renewed confidence, and Louis van Gaal will be looking for a strong end to the season.

Van Gaal hands a recall to striker Wayne Rooney following a prolonged absence through injury, though it means that Anthony Martial has been left on the bench in a surprise move.

Marcus Rashford continues up front, and whilst Memphis Depay comes in, youngsters Jesse Lingard and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are only substitutes despite starting recently.

Villa are set to be relegated after a miserable season, and few are giving them much of a chance against United today.

Veterans like Brad Guzan, Joleon Lescott, Kieran Richardson and Alan Hutton all start, with youngster Jordan Lyden left on the bench.

Scott Sinclair starts to add some pace up front, but the likes of Micah Richards, Jack Grealish and Rudy Gestede are substitutes under interim boss Eric Black.
