Aston Villa fan and former striker Stan Collymore has taken to Twitter to suggest that Brian Little needs to stay at the club permanently.
Villa have had a dismal season with just three Premier League wins, and their relegation could be confirmed today depending on Norwich's result against Sunderland.
The club will need a new manager this summer following the departure of Remi Garde, and Villa have been adding new advisors to help land a manager who can take Villa from the Championship back to the Premier League next season.
The likes of Adrian Bevington and David Bernstein have both been added to the club's board, but it's former Villa boss Brian Little who has received the best reaction.
Little, who was a one-club man with Villa as a player before becoming their manager in 1994, and he has remained a popular figure with the Villa supporters.
Now back at the club to help find a new manager, Little has been praised by Villa fan Stan Collymore, who played under Little during his time at Villa Park.
Collymore took to Twitter to comment on a 'great meeting' with Little on Friday, suggesting that he has incredible passion for the club and needs to stay at Villa Park well beyond the end of the season - something Villa fans may like to see, as somebody who they can connect with behind the scenes.
