The young striker was in impressive form against Borussia Dortmund once again.
The young striker was chosen to lead the line once again by manager Jurgen Klopp as his side sought to book their place in the semi finals.
They did just that with a scintillating game seeing them come back from 2-0 down and then 3-1 down to win the game via a last gasp header from Dejan Lovren.
Origi once again impressed in the game, bagging another goal, and putting in a tireless display that earned many plaudits again.
One of those was McManaman who says the other centre forwards at the club have got problems with him in such fine form.
“I thought Divock Origi was excellent,” he told BT Sport.
“He’s really stamped his authority on that number nine place now and the other centre forwards have got problems. He has really stood up and been counted in the big games.”
It has certainly been an impressive rise for Origi under Jurgen Klopp, especially given how he struggled while on loan at Lille last season.
Indeed, of such quality have his performances been in the last few weeks, it seems he is now first choice in the Reds’ forward line.
He has certainly managed to put himself ahead of Daniel Sturridge, with his tireless running and defensive work having earned him many plaudits.
