An Italian media outlet believes numerous clubs are keen on signing Milan's M'Baye Niang.
The pacey 21-year-old would be a fantastic acquisition for the Potters, should any kind of deal come to fruition, and would represent further evidence of their ever increasing pulling power.
Niang has scored eight goals in twenty outings for the Rossoneri this term, in what has been an inconsistent season for the Italian giants, and Sky Italy claims that his impressive displays have sparked interest from numerous clubs.
Leicester were reportedly interested in bringing the young French star to the King Power Stadium in January, but Sky Italy report that the parties involved were not able to come to an agreement.
Although Stoke may seem like dark horses in the race for Niang, it would not be entirely out of the question for the Frenchman to move to the Potteries.
Mark Hughes has managed to transform Stoke into an attractive destination for foreign talent, with the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Bojan tied down to long-term deals at the Britannia. Potters fans will be hoping the likes of these players will help attract other top talents like the Milan forward, as the club enter a new era of potential success.
He would provide Hughes' side with an entirely different option along their forward line. The one thing Stoke have lacked, in what has been an impressive season, is genuine pace in their attack, and Niang would be the ideal candidate to fill that void.
The hardest obstacle the Potters will have to overcome, however, is the competition they will surely face in the race for the signature of such a hot prospect.
