Report: Aston Villa set to sign Albanian teenage striker Rey Manaj on loan from Inter Milan

The Albanian international could be on his way to Villa Park.

Aston Villa are heading down to the Championship for next season after a shocking season in the Premier League.

After their shocking campaign the club will be looking to make plenty of changes this summer and reports in Italy are now suggesting that Villa could be making a move for Albanian teenager Rey Manaj.

Calciomercato is reporting that the 19-year-old is a loan target for Villa next season.

Manaj joined current club Inter Milan last July after impressing with Italian side Cremonese on a co-ownership with Sampdoria.

But the Albanian has not nailed down a regular spot in the first-team and is hoping to play regular football next season.

The report claims that he will head to Villa on loan for the season, with the potential to make the deal permanent in the summer of 2017.

Manaj, who is hoping to be in the Albania squad that heads to Euro 2016 this summer, is a top talent who could prove a good acquisition for Villa.

But with the club crying out for players with Championship experience, it would be a surprising signature from the club.
