Paul Merson believes Tottenham will be strong title contenders next year as well.
One of the reasons fans are so anxious to win the league this season is because this has been such a great opportunity is that many top teams have underperformed this year, including last season's winners Chelsea.
They are expected to come back stronger in 2016/17, but Merson believes Spurs will remain a force, and only need to make minor adjustments in the transfer market this summer.
He said: "Looking ahead to next season, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd and Liverpool all need players. Tottenham only need a few fringe players, they don't need players to go straight into the team.
"I really think they are well up there again next season, one of the favourites."
Tottenham's success appears to be no fluke, and they have a core of players who do not appear to be going anywhere.
They have a strong spine of their team with Hugo Lloris in goal, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen in defence, and a trio of Mousa Dembele, Eric Dier and Dele Alli in midfield with Harry Kane up front.
All of these players have long term contracts and head coach Mauricio Pochettino has made such rapid improvements to the team over the past two seasons that it is hard to imagine he will not be able to make them even better next season, especially with improved funds and pulling power from qualifying for the Champions League.
