Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has told the club’s official website that Clinton N’Jie could return to action soon.
N’Jie, who joined Tottenham from French outfit Lyon in the summer of 2015, has been on the sidelines since December with a knee problem.
Pochettino has revealed that the 22-year-old, who can play as a forward or as a winger, has completed a full week’s training.
The Tottenham boss has also claimed that midfielder Nabil Bentaleb is still out with a knee injury.
"Nabil is still out and Clinton, he's had a full week's training, he's nearly ready to be selected again and then it's my decision,” the Tottenham head coach told the club’s official website.
"Now we only have one competition, one game a week and big competition (for places) because nearly everyone is fit for selection.”
N’Jie has been a forgotten figure at Tottenham, and his impact on the team this season has been minimal.
The youngster has a pass accuracy of 62% and a shot accuracy of 50%, and has won two headers, six dribbles and two tackles.
Tottenham are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 65 points from 33 matches, seven points behind leaders Leicester City.
