The midfielder completed his first 90 minutes in 10 months this weekend.
Jack Wilshere has posted a positive message on Instagram as he nears his return from injury.
The midfielder has been absent for the entirety of this season having picked up a knock on the eve of this campaign.
He is back in training though, and currently pushing for a return to the first team squad before the end of the season.
He has already featured in two games for the Under 21s in recent weeks as he tries to get himself to match fitness and sharpness.
The latest of those was against Swansea City this week as he managed his first 90 minutes in 10 months, and afterwards he posted his thanks to club’s fans on Instagram.
Wilshere will now be hoping he can get fit and injury free between now and the end of the season.
Given his injury record over recent years though, it would certainly be wise to take things slowly after this latest long-term absence.
There is certainly an incentive for him to get fit though, with a place in England’s squad for Euro 2016 in France this summer very much up for grabs.
