Alan Brazil and John Hartson predict Rangers v Celtic

Ibrox side Rangers will face Old Firm rivals Celtic in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon.

Alan Brazil has predicted on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (broadcast from 6am, April 15) that Celtic will win against Rangers this weekend.

Scottish Premiership giants Celtic will take on Old Firm rivals Rangers at Hamden Park in Glasgow in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon.

“I think Celtic will win 2-1,” said Brazil on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (broadcast from 6am, April 15).

“I think it will be tight. I think it will be a lot tighter than what people admit because Rangers are going in there with momentum.”

Former Celtic striker John Hartson has also backed the Bhoys to win against Rangers and progress to the final of the Scottish Cup.

“For me, this time around I think it will be pretty comfortable for Celtic because they have been at a different level,” said Hartson on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (broadcast from 6am, April 15).

“They have been competing in European qualifiers, they had had the challenge of Aberdeen, Hearts have been up there, St. Johnstone this season, Inverness, whereas Rangers have been playing at a level below in the Scottish Championship.”

Celtic will head into the game against Rangers as favourites and will be fancied by many neutrals to win.

The Bhoys have the strongest team in Scotland and have also picked up some form in recent weeks.

However, Rangers are on a high and are in superb form at the moment, and the players will certainly be determined to turn on the style against the Hoops.

Mark Warburton’s side have won the Scottish Championship and the Scottish Challenge Cup this season, and they will surely want to progress to the final of the Scottish Cup and maintain their chances of winning the treble this campaign.
