Xabi Alonso reacts on Twitter to Liverpool comeback in three words

The former Liverpool man knows all about comebacks after Istanbul in 2005...

Liverpool truly are the king of comebacks.

It looks like Jurgen Klopp is ready to carry on the club's grand tradition of never giving in and always fighting until the very last second.

'You'll never walk alone' has been embodied by Liverpool for many years. But coming back from 3-1 down to beat Borussia Dortmund on Thursday night was up there with some of their greatest comebacks.

The best of all time was, of course, in Istanbul in 2005, when the Reds came back from 3-0 down to beat AC Milan on penalties in the Champions League final.

And Xabi Alonso, one of the heroes of that day, took to Twitter to celebrate this great Liverpool occasion.

Liverpool were 2-0 down - and then 3-1 down.

But they came back with a bang and will now be considered heavy favourites for the Europa League by many.

Klopp and co shouldn't get complacent. There are still plenty of tough teams left in Europe. Is fate on Liverpool's side once again, however, after such a dramatic comeback against Dortmund?
