The Irons exited the FA Cup with a 2-1 quarter-final defeat.
West Ham United bowed out of the FA Cup in Wednesday night's 2-1 quarter-final replay defeat by Manchester United at Upton Park.
Marcus Rashford stroked the Red Devils ahead on 54 minutes, before Marouane Fellaini doubled that advantage 13 minutes later as Louis van Gaal's side closed in on a semi-final trip to Wembley.
However, James Tomkins gave the Hammers hope on 79 minutes, bravely heading home from close range following a wonderful knock-down header from Andy Carroll. But the task proved too big in the end and the Irons, playing their last ever FA Cup tie at Upton Park, exited the competition.
In the initial quarter-final, Slaven Bilic's boys were seven minutes from a spot in the semi-final when Anthony Martial cancelled out Dimitri Payet's stunning free kick at Old Trafford, and a host of West Ham stars are understandably disappointed to be eliminated.

If there is a positive for West Ham, it's that Bilic and co can now focus on making a late dash for the Champions League qualification spots.
As it stands, the East Londoners sit sixth in the Premier League table, five points behind fourth-placed Manchester City with only six games to go.
