Report: West Ham want Bologna's Amadou Diawara, but are concerned about £14m asking price

West Ham United are reportedly keen on Bologna ace Amadou Diawara.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United have enquired about signing Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara this summer, though they have reservations about the £14m asking price.

The Hammers are on course to qualify for next season's Europa League after a superb season under Slaven Bilic, but summer signings will be needed to follow up on this impressive campaign.

Fans may want big signings, but the Daily Mail report that the Hammers are in fact pursuing Bologna teenager Amadou Diawara, who has been tipped as a star of the future.

Diawara, 18, has emerged as Serie A's latest teen sensation this term, impressing as an all-round midfielder for Bologna having arrived from San Marino.

With 31 appearances this season, Diawara has really caught the eye, and it's believed that West Ham - as well as Manchester City - have enquired about signing the Guinean starlet this summer, but both have reservations about the asking price on his head.

It's suggested that Bologna want a huge £14m for their teenage star, and both City and West Ham are reluctant to fork out that asking price.

Still, it should be a fascinating battle for Diawara's signature this summer, given that his performances have triggered interest from much bigger clubs than Bologna, and a move to the Premier League would be difficult to reject for the 18-year-old.

Do you think West Ham should fork out £14m for Diawara?
