Report: Samir Nasri wanted by Spartak Moscow, agent has already met with Russian club

The French international could be on for a shock move to Russia.

Reports in Russia today are suggesting that one of Manchester City’s players could be heading to Moscow in the summer.

Izvestia claim that Spartak Moscow are hoping to tie down a deal for Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri.

The report claims that Nasri’s agent Jean-Pierre Bernes met with the Spartak hierarchy last week to discuss the possibility of Nasri heading to Spartak in the summer.

It has been rumoured that Nasri will be heading out at The Etihad this summer. It is believed that Pep Guardiola is not a fan of the player and will be considering his exit once he arrives at the club from Bayern Munich in the summer.

The report claims that Nasri wants a contract in the region of €4 million (£3.2 million) a year to head to Russia – as not many teams across mainland Europe are willing to take a risk on a player who comes with something of a reputation.

Nasri has struggled with injury this season, the French international featuring just 10 times for the club this season and being left out of the Champions League squad for the second half of the season.

After being out of action since October he returned to action this month and scored in Manchester City’s 2-1 win against West Brom recently.
