Report claims crucial Leicester star N'Golo Kante has £20m release clause, Tottenham remain interested

N'Golo Kante can reportedly leave Leicester City for just £20m this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Leicester City star N'Golo Kante has a £20m release clause in his contract - and Premier League rivals are ready to swoop.

Kante, 25, has had a long path to the Premier League, turning out for JS Suresnes, Boulogne and SM Caen before signing for Leicester last summer.

Many knew that Kante had enjoyed a fine season for Caen last term, but few could have expected him to make such a huge impact in the Premier League this season.

The Frenchman has provided never-ending energy in the heart of the Leicester midfield, serving as something of a tackling and intercepting machine as a crucial part of Leicester's stunning push for the Premier League title.

Unsurprisingly, Kante's incredible performances have triggered interest in his signature, and unfortunately for Leicester, the Daily Mail report that the midfielder has a release clause in his contract worth a modest £20m.

It's suggested that Kante could now leave this summer, with Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur believed to be keen on luring him to White Hart Lane at the end of the season.

With Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain also believed to be interested in signing Kante, the Foxes could lose a key man - and if he impressed on the international stage for France at the European Championships this summer, there may be even more suitors.

Do you think Kante should leave Leicester for Tottenham?
