The teenager has been in great form for Manchester United in recent months.
The 18-year-old burst onto the scene when he scored two goals on his debut against FC Midtjylland back in February and he followed that up with another brace (and an assist) in his first Premier League appearance against Arsenal a few days later.
Rashford also scored the winner against Manchester City in March before netting a wonderful strike in Wednesday’s FA Cup quarter-final replay against West Ham United.
With six goals in 11 senior appearances for United there is no doubting Rashford’s talent and Carrick for one feels that the teenager has a very bright future in the game.
“He keeps coming in, he doesn’t change, he works hard, he listens, he’s willing to learn and I think he’s got a great chance of staying at the top for a long time,” Carrick told MUTV.
“I don’t think it’s a flash in the pan. I think he’s here to stay and goals like that…we’ll welcome more of them.”
United are now into the semi-finals of the FA Cup and they still have a chance of finishing in the top four, although they will be relying on a couple of slip-ups from Manchester City for that to happen.
