The former Newcastle man has sent a message to fans.
Indeed, the Argentine says he is a geordie, has thanked fans for their warm messages - and reaffirmed his love for the club and city.
Gutierrez also says he hopes Newcastle can stay up in the Premier League. But that hope certainly seems far fetched at this stage of the season.

Newcastle's next on-field fixture comes at home, meanwhile, against Swansea City.
The Magpies are a full 15 points behind the Swans and six off safety. However, it's more about momentum than anything with Rafa Benitez's men at the moment. They just don't have any.
Another side might have a chance of battling relegation being just two wins off safety.
But not this Newcastle team. Losing comfortably seems to be their specialty - although they at least aren't as bad as Aston Villa in that regard...
